JHR Developments has confirmed that John Bennett will join the team for the 2024 GB3 Championship season, where the youngster will continue his push towards the front of the grid.
The 20-year-old, from Salisbury, will enter his third season in the series – and just his fourth in car racing – with his eyes firmly set on continuing his progression as he joins the 2023 Teams’ Champions.
Last year John scored a second-place finish at Silverstone and took two pole positions, while in 2022 he was in the top five on eight occasions, adding a podium at Donington Park.
Prior to single seaters, he competed in the Ginetta GT5 Challenge, taking three podiums in the final four races of his rookie season in 2020, which he followed up with five wins, 10 podiums, and two pole positions as he finished runner up next time around.
John heads into the season with plenty of racing mileage behind him already this year, having tackled the Formula Regional Middle East Championship across the past few weeks, further building his knowledge and experience.
He is also part of Motorsport UK’s Team UK Futures programme, which identifies, develops, and supports talented competitors aged 15-24 who demonstrate exceptional potential to progress.
