Elite Motorsport’s Tom Lebbon is aiming for a strong set of results at his local venue, as the GB3 Championship field heads to Snetterton this weekend (25-26 June).

The Bury St Edmunds resident is sixth in the championship standings at present, just over 40 points away from the summit, and having claimed his first single-seater win at Silverstone earlier this year, is hoping to put on a show in front of his home crowd.

“So far this year I’m happy with some of the results, but I’m hoping to pick up more points at the next few rounds to set my eyes on the championship,” he said. “Obviously the win at Silverstone was great but I’m hoping for more podiums soon.”

He’s banking on plenty of local support this weekend too, with a number of friends and family set to make the half hour drive to Snetterton.

“I’m really looking forward to this weekend. Snetterton is my home track so I will have plenty of family coming to watch and support.”

As for expectations, he’s hoping to edge closer to the fight at the top of the standings as the season reaches its halfway point.

“I want to bring home some good points for the championship and get right into contention for the title. Three good finishes is the main aim.”
