Arden Motorsport’s David Morales has confirmed he’s “completely fine” after his big accident at Spa-Francorchamps earlier today.
The American driver made contact with the car of Cian Shields on the third lap of the final race of the weekend, and slammed into the Blanchimont tyre barriers when travelling at around 140mph.
He was able to extricate himself from the car but was taken to hospital for further checks, before being released this afternoon.
Sharing an update on his Instagram feed, Morales said: “Checking out of the hospital now, they’ve done all the scans after my 140 miles an hour crash.
“I’m completely fine, I do have a couple of aches and soreness here and there but I’m all good now. I’m feeling better.
“Thanks to everyone who asked if I was ok after the crash. It hurt a lot, it still hurts now, but nothing is broken. That’s good!”
