Pioneering GB3 and GB4 broadcast package steps up another gear for 2023

24 March 2023

The innovative live streaming package for the GB3 and GB4 Championships will return for the 2023 season, after series organiser MotorSport Vision (MSV) confirmed an extension to agreements with Onside Productions and Hayfisher Productions.

The class-leading broadcasts, more comprehensive than any other offering in junior single-seater racing, were introduced ahead of the 2022 campaign. Races will be screened live online across multiple platforms throughout the season, including YouTube and the official GB3 and GB4 websites, complete with full pre-race build up, podium coverage and analysis afterwards.

In addition, a post-produced GB3 highlights show, put together by Hayfisher, will once more be broadcast on the Sky Sports F1 channel, with coverage shown one week after each round.

The streaming coverage will again be fronted by experienced talkSPORT presenter Jon Jackson, with commentary and expert analysis provided by Lewis McGlade and BRDC British F3 race winner Piers Prior, who joined the team mid-season in 2022.

Each broadcast will feature driver and team member interviews and even more additional behind the scenes features, allowing viewers to become much more familiar with the aspiring stars of the future - and their supporters in the paddock - as they climb the ladder to F1.

High quality race footage will continue to be provided by Hayfisher Productions for races on the British GT or GT World Challenge package. Onside Productions, headed by Steve Matthews and Tom Howe, will produce each show, including the pre and post-race coverage, whilst also providing trackside coverage of the GB3 and GB4 headlined event at Silverstone.

MSV Chief Executive Jonathan Palmer said: “Our broadcast package for GB3 and GB4 broke new ground last year, providing extensive coverage for drivers and teams at a level previously unseen in junior single-seater racing. Moreover, viewers were able to engage with the drivers’ personalities in a way they hadn’t been able to do before, certainly until they reached the highest levels of the sport.

“The coverage was extremely well received last year, but at MSV we’re determined to keep moving forwards so we’ve worked closely with the team at Onside Productions over the winter to refine the offering and to ensure the programme steps up another level in 2023. This means there will be an even greater focus on the drivers and paddock personalities, whilst the programme continues to showcase the superb racing delivered by GB3 and GB4.

“MSV remains committed to ensuring that our championships provide the most compelling choice for aspiring F1 drivers, and our superb broadcast package forms an essential part of this.”
