Hedley ups the pace in Silverstone session two

VRD Racing by Arden’s James Hedley set the quickest time of the day so far in the second session at Silverstone.

The British driver recorded a 1m52.743s, below lap record pace, to top the times by 0.156s from Rodin’s championship leader Louis Sharp.

Sharp was just over a tenth of a second clear of Elite’s Jarrod Waberski, with the South African’s teammate McKenzy Cresswell next up in fourth, rising from sixth in session one.

JHR’s John Bennett set the fifth quickest time, 0.032s clear of FIA F3 race winner Martinius Stenshorne, who will race for Chris Dittmann Racing this weekend, as he gains Silverstone circuit experience.

VRD Racing by Arden’s Nikita Johnson, who will debut at Spa, was seventh fastest ahead of session one pace setter Tymek Kucharczyk, who led the trio of Hitech Pulse-Eight machines with Gerrard Xie and Will Macintyre completing the session two top-10, which was again covered by less than a second.
