Louis Sharp was crowned the 2024 GB3 Champion back in September, but what were the numbers behind his title success, and which other drivers lit up the various statistics produced throughout the campaign?
Let’s find out…
Most wins – Louis Sharp (five)
It’s natural for the champion to have won a lot of races, and no other driver won as many GB3 races in 2024 as Louis Sharp. The British-born New Zealander opened his season in style with a triumph in race one at Oulton Park, but it took a further eight races for him to stand on the top step again, with win number two at the Hungaroring, where he went from fifth to first on the opening lap. Another seven races followed without a win, but he turned it up in style when it really mattered, claiming a double success at Donington Park and a final win to all but secure the title in race two at Brands Hatch. Even when he wasn’t winning, consistent podium finishes kept him well on course for the title.
Tymek Kucharczyk was his nearest challenger with four wins, while Will Macintyre, eventual championship runner-up John Bennett and Sharp’s Rodin teammate Arthur Rogeon took three wins each. Nikita Johnson and McKenzy Cresswell were double winners, with Gerrard Xie a winner in Hungary.

He led the championship standings on multiple occasions, and when he was on form, he could be dominant, with his wins at Silverstone and Zandvoort coming with over seven seconds in hand to the nearest driver! He tallied 11 podiums throughout the year, as did title rival John Bennett, who also made a huge step forward in pace throughout 2024. Both drivers took the title battle all the way down to the final event at Brands Hatch. A total of 16 drivers claimed podiums this year, with eventual champion Sharp the only other driver to accrue a double digit figure.

Most pole positions - Louis Sharp (five)
Sharp tops this statistic too, with five pole positions earning him this year’s Jack Cavill Pole Position Cup. A double was secured at Oulton Park in April, but like his win tally, Sharp really came alive at the end of the year, when he claimed three of the last four poles on offer; a double at Donington and another at Brands Hatch, which set up his title deciding day. Kucharczyk and Bennett were again his nearest challengers with three poles each, with Cresswell joining them on this figure, while Xie earned a double of his own during GB3’s first visit to the Hungaroring.
