VRD Racing by Arden’s Nikita Johnson claimed victory in the final GB3 race of the weekend at Zandvoort, after battling into the lead on the first lap.
Johnson started second, but was passed at the start by JHR’s Patrick Heuzenroeder. However the American driver fought back almost instantly to retake the lead before the end of the first lap, and then pulled away to win by 1.6 seconds.
Elite’s McKenzy Cresswell followed Johnson through on the first lap and claimed another podium with second place, while Heuzenroeder, sporting a striking new livery this weekend, claimed his first podium of the season in third.
Hugo Schwarze in fourth claimed his best result of the season for Elite Motorsport ahead of Hitech's Will Macintyre and VRD Racing by Arden's Noah Ping, who started 12th.
Pre-event championship leader Louis Sharp gained ground in the race, bouncing around the order but salvaging seventh place after a battle with Ping and title rival Tymek Kucharczyk.
Pole sitter Josh Irfan claimed eighth place for JHR Developments, ahead of Colin Queen, who stormed up the order again from 13th on the grid to ninth.
Kucharczyk completed the top-10 after a gravelly moment while embroiled in the Ping/Sharp battle, but still leaves the event as the championship leader.
Not even a safety car intervention could stop Johnson, who held a four second lead early on until the race was neutralised on lap nine to recover the car of Seb Murray.
Racing resumed quickly, and Johnson made a good restart to build his lead up again, reaching two seconds heading onto the last lap before easing off to cement his first European triumph.
