Tatuus MSV GB3-025 racks up mileage in two-day Vallelunga test

01 November 2024

The first major test of the Tatuus MSV GB3-025 car has been completed in Italy, with two days of running at the Vallelunga circuit near Rome.

Following on from the positive shakedown run at the La Pista circuit opposite the Tatuus headquarters earlier this week, the new machine completed further good running at the four-kilometre Vallelunga layout on Wednesday and Thursday.

Strong reliability allowed the new machine to complete 270 kilometres of running on the first day alone, allowing Tatuus and MSV engineers to progress well through the planned programme, as well as beginning to conduct performance running, with Lorenzo Colombo at the wheel once more.

“It has been a pleasing start to the new Tatuus MSV GB3-025 testing programme,” the Italian driver reported.

“We had two intense days at Vallelunga with plenty of laps and data collected, which will allow us to continue on the development road with analysis sessions and more laps to be completed.

“The car is fun to drive and a challenging one with its high levels of downforce. I’m excited to hit the track again a few days from now.”

With strong mileage now accrued and a baseline technical platform now established, the test programme will continue next week at the Vairano circuit near Milan, with a focus on the car's aerodynamic performance.
