Outstanding uptake for Tatuus MSV GB3-025 as new car construction begins

MSV has already received over 30 confirmed orders from teams for its new Tatuus MSV GB3-025 car, having been over-subscribed within weeks of unveiling the all-new machine, which will be introduced for the start of the 2025 season.

All teams that have raced in the series this year have placed orders for the upgraded car, which features a totally new chassis, F1-inspired aerodynamics including a DRS system, more power from the normally-aspirated, two-litre, four-cylinder Mountune engine, wider Pirelli tyres and further improved safety standards.

In addition, three additional teams have submitted requests to purchase the new car in anticipation of joining the championship for the first time. Team announcements will follow in due course.

As a result, it is anticipated that an increased number of 11 teams will participate in next year’s championship, operating two or three cars each, with the grid set to be capped at 30 entries.

The first Tatuus MSV GB3-025 chassis has already been produced at the Tatuus base near Milan and Monza, and an initial example of the Mountune-prepared engine is already in Italy for inclusion in the build process.

Batch deliveries of the new car to teams will commence before the end of the year, and will continue into the first weeks of 2025.

MSV Group Operations and Engineering Manager Giles Butterfield said: “The interest in the new Tatuus MSV GB3-025 has been extremely encouraging, and we expect to reach record grid levels next year. We were aiming to attract teams from outside of the championship in order for it to grow further, and we are pleased to have done that. The level of interest confirms our vision for GB3 to be a prime feeder category for FIA F3 and beyond, and we’re now looking forward to the first on track tests for the new car early next month before we commence the full production build programme and deliveries over the winter.”
