Red Bull junior Enzo Tarnvanichkul joins VRD Racing for GB3 debut

23 April 2025

Thai racer Enzo Tarnvanichkul will join VRD Racing for five GB3 events across the 2025 season.

The 16-year-old is a member of the Red Bull Junior Team, and will compete in all of the UK rounds of this year’s GB3 Championship, as well as the Monza season finale in October.

Enzo moved into car racing last year after an accomplished karting career. Having first karted at the age of just three, he was crowned CIK-FIA Karting World Champion in 2022, as well as securing the runner-up spot in the WSK Final Cup in the same year.

Moving up to Spanish F4 last year, he secured a maiden podium finish at Valencia’s Circuit Ricardo Tormo on his way to 12th overall in the final standings.

He arrives into GB3 race-ready, having also competed in the last five races of the Eurocup-3 Spanish Winter Championship, securing two top-six finishes.

He will sample the new Tatuus MSV GB3-025 car for the first time during this week’s pre-event test days at Silverstone, where he’ll team up with GB3 returnee Hugo Schwarze.

Enzo Tarnvanichkul said: "I'm proud to be competing in selected GB3 Championship events this season.  My ambition has always been to reach Formula 1—the pinnacle of motorsport. The opportunity to race on some of the most iconic circuits in the UK and Europe will be invaluable in my development as a driver. I'm extremely grateful to VRD Racing for the opportunity and of course to the Red Bull Academy for their continued support. I’m fully focused on making the most of this experience and can’t wait to get started on track."

VRD Racing Team Principal Dan Mitchell said: “We’re very excited to have completed a deal with Enzo for the majority of this year’s GB3 campaign. He’s a very promising prospect and it’s an honour for us to be trusted by the Red Bull Junior programme to be a part of his development at this early stage of his career. This weekend will be about Enzo building experience in the new car and the championship, and I’m confident he’ll continue to grow with us when he returns later in the summer.”
