GB3 stars of the past and present dominate this year’s list of the ‘20 most exciting up and coming talents on the road to F1’ in the forthcoming season, as recently published by Formula1.com.
Nine drivers with GB3 connections have been included, including the three most recent champions, fellow graduates and drivers expected to battle for the title in 2025.
Champions Luke Browning, Callum Voisin and Louis Sharp all get a mention, with 2022 GB3 champion Browning said to have “a golden opportunity to place himself front and centre as an F1-ready driver in waiting.” Browning races with the support of the Williams F1 team in Formula 2 this year, and is now the team’s lead member of its junior academy.
Vosin and Sharp meanwhile will be teammates at Rodin Motorsport in Formula 3, with Voisin returning the team to winning ways last year.
Sticking with the Rodin theme, several of their GB3 graduates also feature on the list, with Christian Mansell and Ugo Ugochukwu both tipped to shine in 2025. The team’s F1 Academy champion Abbi Pulling is another with high hopes, as she heads into her debut GB3 campaign.
James Wharton, who like Ugochukwu, contested selected GB3 rounds last year, also makes the list, as does Italian F4 dominator Freddie Slater, who made his GB3 debut at Donington Park last year, and will race again in 2025, having inked a deal with Hillspeed.
Finally, British F4 champion Deagen Fairclough is also tipped for a strong campaign, as he steps up to GB3 with Hitech.
