Fortec Motorsports has confirmed the signing of Stefan Bostandjiev for the 2025 GB3 Championship season.
The 20-year-old Bulgarian racer, currently based in London, has been competing in sportscar racing for the past four years, achieving podium finishes in his debut season in GT4 Germany.
In 2023 he progressed to the GT4 European Series and, last season, competed in a Lamborghini in Super Trofeo Europe and at the World Finals. He also made his debut appearance at the Nürburgring Nordschleife, gained his first experience of racing in GT3 machinery, and was featured in The First Lap: The Bulgarian Racing Dream, a documentary chronicling his and his team’s journey.
For 2025, Stefan embarks on a brand-new challenge as he makes his single-seater debut, joining Fortec Motorsports, a multiple race and championship-winning team, to compete in the GB3 Championship.
Stefan Bostandjiev said: "I’m incredibly humbled and excited to take this next step in my career and make the jump from sportscar and endurance racing to single-seaters with a team as decorated as Fortec Motorsport. It’s an unconventional route, but one I’m ready to maximise, as I’m hungry to prove that any barrier can be broken with the right commitment and drive. Having only started racing karts at 15, time is a luxury I haven’t often enjoyed, so I’ve grown familiar with the need to adapt to new cars and new tracks quickly. This move is another fresh challenge that I’m eager to take on.
