JHR Developments has announced that Kai Daryanani will join the team for the 2025 GB3 Championship season.
The 19-year-old born in Mumbai, India, secured the F4 Trophy title last year in the Middle East with an impressive run in the final four races, claiming a during the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix weekend and three podium finishes.
It was a busy 2024 for Kai, who not only lifted that trophy but also competed in multiple series. He began the year in F4 UAE before contesting the F4 British Championship. In addition, he made appearances in Italian F4 and Euro 4, took part in a round of F4 Australia, and competed in the prestigious Macau Grand Prix—accumulating an incredible 60 race starts over the season.
His debut year in car racing was equally busy to catch up on experience from his lack of junior category motorsport, featuring in the full UAE and British F4 Championships, alongside appearances in Euro 4, F4 Spanish, F4 South East Asia, the Macau Formula 4 race, and the GB4 Championship, where he claimed victory at Brands Hatch.
The momentum has continued into 2025, with Kai competing in the Rookie Cup of the Formula Regional Middle East Championship—his first full campaign in more powerful machinery—to prepare for the highly competitive GB3 Championship.
He has already been working closely with JHR Developments, completing several test days in the brand-new Tatuus MSV GB3-025, which is being introduced for this season, and demonstrated strong pace during this week’s media day test at Donington Park.
Kai Daryanani said: "I am really excited to make my debut in GB3 with JHR. I felt immediately comfortable with the team during testing at the end of last year, and I feel like this is the best place for me to continue my learning and development. I am very much looking forward to the first race at Silverstone and will make the most of the opportunity given to me. A big thanks to everyone for making this happen."
JHR Developments Team Principal Steven Hunter said: “We are excited to welcome Kai to JHR Developments for the 2025 GB3 Championship. His determination and willingness to learn have been evident in his extensive racing experience over the past two years. He has shown great adaptability across different championships, and we believe he has the potential to make a strong impact in GB3. We look forward to working with him and helping him progress throughout the season.”
