Fortec Motorsports has confirmed that Alexandros Kattoulas will join the team for his single-seater debut at Donington Park this weekend (7/8 September) in the GB3 Championship.
 
The 19-year-old experienced his first taste of the car at Silverstone in July and returned to the cockpit at last week’s Donington Park test, where his pace significantly improved throughout the day.
 
Alexandros enjoyed a strong karting career, which included being crowned the 2015 ROK Cup Singapore/Asia Cadet Champion and placing second in the Singapore Karting Championship.
 
Moving across to Europe for 2016, results continued to show great promise, finishing ahead of newly-announced Mercedes F1 driver Andrea Kimi Antonelli on the way to fifth place in the WSK Final Cup – 60 Mini category in the same year.
 
Sixth place in the Swedish Championship OK Junior division followed the following season, and further progress was made in 2018 with strong showings in the WSK Champions Cup, again in OK Junior.
 
Following a break in his racing, Alexandros now returns to action with Fortec Motorsports in the GB3 Championship, where he will have a final few test sessions before the weekend action gets underway on 7 September.
